A book created at PBI 1999 at Haystack, Deer Isle, Maine.
The binding is a "bucknaked" sewnboards binding, based on a
historic Ethiopian structure. I learned this binding in a
class taught by Cecilia Frost at PBI. I teach this binding
in workshops. For more information, see the Workshops page.
The book is in an edition of three. The title comes from
the fact that all the circles (one in each page) were cut
in the backwoods of Maine using an X-acto blade taped to
dividers. It wasn't until PBI 2000 that I discovered the
Olfa circle cutter tool.)
